Hyperlink not working if sheet protected

Can anyone assist me?
I have a excel worksheet with hyperlink. If the sheet is protected I am unable to use the hyperlink even though I have unblocked the protected cells.

What is the hyperlink to, and which version of Excel are you using?

The hyperlink is to the cell reference (like go to quickly). I am using windows XP

What version of Excel are you using? Hyperlinks should work if users are allowed to select the target cells.

excel 2007 but does not work if the worksheet is protected. If I unprotect the worksheet it works perfect.

Given that it took you an hour and a half to respond to my question, it's a bit cheeky to hassle me because I haven't responded in 40 minutes! I don't use 2007 at work, so it will have to wait until I can access my laptop.

1st - under home, font, protection (locked all cells)
2nd - unlocked the cells those i wanted staff to use
3rd - assigned the hyperlink to go and to go back to a particular cell
4th - under review, protected the sheet "with only select unblocked cells"

Edit: I think I see your problem - you have locked the cell with the hyperlink in it?
