Hi Team,

I am needing to be able to link directly to an email from a drop down list.

I have 4 sheets within my workbook.
Sheet "Referrals" has a drop-down list of names which is populated by "Sheet4".

I need when I select someone from my list to be able to send an email directly to them.

Hopefully someone can help me out :)

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
If VLOOKUP("A",A:B,2,0) returns "person.a@helpme.com", you can use =HYPERLINK("mailto:"&VLOOKUP("A",A:B,2,0)) to create the hyperlink for emailing. Or, if you don't want to see "mailto:", you can use something like =LET(email,VLOOKUP("A",A:B,2,0),HYPERLINK("mailto:"&email,email))

Thank you, the way I have populated my drop down is using data validation and using the range from from Sheet 4 - would this formula still work?
I don't know if it is just late in the day and my brain isn't functioning - but where would I physically put the formula. Also forgive me - everything I do is self-taught, so I may miss some really simple factors.
