I am having a bit of trouble with an auto opening excel macro when it is activated via word doc.
It brings up an error: "This action cannot be completed because the program to which you are navigating is busy"
is there an easy walk around for this?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
I have seen that this can happen if Autosave is switched on.

Could use a macro in Word like :-
Code:
Sub OPEN_EXCEL()
    Set xl = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
    xl.workbooks.Open ("F:\test\book1.xls")
    Set xl = Nothing
End Sub
