hyperlink with a vllookup??

Try it without the quotes around the vlookup...

=HYPERLINK(("mailto:")&VLOOKUP($B$7,ess,14,FALSE),"E-mail me")

I tried it and it does not work, the vlookup function does not work.

The result of your VLOOKUP will be placed in the "TO:" portion of your e-mail. So, your vlookup should return something like

• jim_smith@xyzcorporation.com

.

Try adjusting your vlookup (and/or your ess range) accordingly.

It tries to mail to "E-mail me" and not the vlookup.

=HYPERLINK(("mailto:")&VLOOKUP($B$7,ess,14,FALSE),"E-mail me")

works for me. Are you sure you copied this formula correctly?

As another check, does =VLOOKUP($B$7,ess,14,FALSE) return the correct e-mail address?
