I have an excel sheet that has data only, no formulas and is showing a circular reference error. How do I fix this?

Could someone tell me how an excel sheet without any formulas in it can have a circular reference. I have a workbook with raw data only that keeps freezing and giving a circular reference error. Very frustrating.

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
On the formulas ribbon bar, select 'show formulas' in the auditing section. all values will disappear and show any formulas that may exist. There is the possibility that raw data may begin with an operator (+-= etc) that may look like a formula.
