I think I'm stuck. I recently bought Excel 2010 VBA Power Programming by John Walkenbach, and I understand most of what I reading and I'm plugging it all in as I go, But when I go to create my own little workbooks, I just become blank and I don't know where to start or how to go about it. I've done a little C++ programming quite a few years ago and touched on VB, but not very much. I am proficent in excel and just want to move on to VBA side of things.

Should I try a different book or should I do something different?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Dive in here. Google peoples' questions and force yourself to keep sitting and staring and doing things the long and hard way until it starts to sink in. Figuring out how to solve the problems people post here is the only way I've managed to start to picking up any of this stuff.

Maybe you should start with something a bit less "overwhelming".

'Excel VBA Programming For Dummies' might be a better place to start. After you get comfortable with what you're doing then move on to power programming.

I have an autographed copy of 'Excel VBA Programming For Dummies' sitting on my desk!
