Total Annual Leave Days5

I'm hoping someone can help me please. I've done an excel spreadsheet for staff to put in their annual leave requests. However, I need a pop up box to appear if the total annual leave for any one week exceeds 15.

My SUM formula for total annual leave days starts on B40 and continues all the way through to BA40 and each column counts the annual leave days for that week.

I think this will need a macro and at the moment, that is a bit beyond my capabilities.

If anyone can help me I'd be very grateful and will provide any other information you need.
thank you

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
I'd never heard of data validation. I've had a quick look on the www and data validation looks as if it would be easy to set up and would be just what I'm looking for. thanks for your help. :)

Just wanted to say a big thank you. I've used data validation on my spreadsheet and it works a dream. Exactly what I was looking for :)

Glad it worked for you! It seems like I've been using it a lot lately and found it is even more flexible that you can image. I've been using named parameters (defined in the Name Manager) for very complex calculations and using them in the data validation setting and it works like a charm. I've managed to implement 4 levels of dependet drop down lists this way.
