I have a huge report that uses lots name formula's for time. My boss wants me to set it up so she can compare one month report to another. I have attempted to create a macro that pulls the information together, but the base forms all have the same name and my links update messing up the entire comparison. Is there a way for me to set a cell equal to the value that is created from a formula in another cell without creating a link. Is there a way to open all three reports without my old links picking up the new values.

Will setting your macro to Copy and Paste Special > Values on the formulas? This will stop them updating.

Along the lines of:

Selection.Copy
Selection.PasteSpecial Paste:=xlValues, Operation:=xlNone, SkipBlanks:= _
False, Transpose:=False

Not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but it is possible for VBA to open a workbook without updating links:

Workbooks.Open FileName:="x.xls", UpdateLinks:=0
