I want to classify xy scatterplot data to return a specific value depending upon where it plots in a subdivided chart.

I want the data to plot over a classification chart, from a scientific paper, with 10 different irregular shaped zones and then identify which zone each of the data points falls in (ie return a value 1-10 in a new column in the worksheet).

and then create a new column with the zone number in which each point falls created.
