I am looking for a formula to determine if a date in column D is between the first day of October through last day of May from 2016-2021. I am looking to do this over several different years (Oct 2016-May 2017, Oct 2017- May 2018, Oct 2018- May 2019, etc.). I have a master spreadsheet with data from every year since 2016 that I am trying to add this to for reporting. Help please?

Try using the XL2BB option to post a sample of your data, posting a picture means we have to re-create your data manually.

Include in your sample the expected results.
see below. I highlighted the columns to focus on. I showed what the answer should be in the bid season column, which is where I am trying to put the results. I did your formula as well to show there were several errors that would have been wrong, those are red. I also added the range I am looking for (in the months Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, or May the result would be "yes" in column O (bid season). If the date falls within the months of Jun, Jul, Aug, or September the result would be "no" in column O (bid season).)
