Hello,
I have a spreadsheet with data in very sporadic numbers in cells with many cells which are blank. Is there a way to fill only the blank cells with the number 1?

Many, many thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
You could use Edit > Replace to replace nothing with 1

make sure that you choose the "match entire cell contents" option

Excellent tip, didn't even think of that, however is there then a way to exclude certain columns?

Highlite the area with the cells you want to fill,Edit, go to, Special, Blanks, in the formula bar enter =1, hit Ctrl + Enter. Then copy and paste special, values.
