if data in column b and e match, say reconclied in colum d

Hi, I'm using excel 2003, I want to compare data in two columns, and if they match write a formula to say the word "reconciled" in other column.

us345			us345
us123			us123

=IF(EXACT(B1,E1),"reconciled","")

thank you, EXACT didn't work but I replaced EXACT with MATCH and that worked, thank you very much.

thank you, also if I have a negative value and a positive value but the number is the same, how would I get it to say "reconciled".
eg. -65000 65000 this is considered a match.

EXACT works for me, whereas MATCH doesn't. For the numbers try:

=IF(SUM(B1,E1),"","reconciled")
