IF Formula / Conditional Formatting

Hi -I am having trouble figuring out the below.

If a dollar amount is entered in cell F3, I'd like this cell highlighted in red UNLESS cell H3 contains EITHER "Michael" or "John".

I am trying to create a spreadsheet that will force the user to select a user once he or she enters an amount in cell F3. If they enter an amount in cell F3 without a name (either John or Michael) in cell H3, I'd like F3 to be highlighted in red until a name is selected. If no amount is entered, no harm and no highlighting.

Ok this is what you need.

1. Select Column "F" and then go to conditional formatting based on formula. select the settings you want there. Under the formula input this:

=IF(AND(F1<>"",H1=""),TRUE(),FALSE())

2. Create a list under validation to make the drop down options for "Michael" and "John"
