I need an IF formula that gives me the result of "0" if the answer to the equation is a positive number and the actual equation answer if it is a negative number. I've started out with the formula G2-(E2+F2) but I need to add the IF part.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Hi and Welcome

=IF(G2-(E2+F2)>0, 0, G2-(E2+F2))

so if
G2-(E2+F2) is greater than 0, you want to see 0, If it's less than 0, show the result?

=MIN(0,G2-(E2+F2))
