I have a query built that evaluates a start date and and end date and returns the info to a table. I want to add a formula that once the item is selected that it returns a given date in a new field.

Any suggestions?

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand

Formulas cannot be stored in a table, only in a query. So you should do your calculation in a query. Usually, there is no reason to write the value back to a table, as you can use the query as a data source for reports, forms, queries, etc.

Actually, writing the values back to a table can violate the rules of normalization and undermine the intergrity of the database.

Do you need help writing the formula? If so, please explain the details of how the formula is supposed to work.
