=IF(D8="new",H63,0) This formula refers to calculation to a residual amount on a lease. I have New and Used units, I need to have this work for the calculations from both the new and used. The above formula works for new only in need to add in the used but I also need it to pick up the change in term as from a different cell. In this case once New or used is determined I need to point to the term to choose the proper calculation for residual. Any ideas.

Not sure I understand, but maybe something like this:

=IF(D8="new",H63,IF(D8="used",G63,""))

Thanks, your response this takes into account for the used but I still need this to point to the term than once we have that then the associated residual calculation for that term. Appreciate your response!

You're welcome. I'm not clear about what you are refering too when you say "term". I thought it was a specific cell. If so that can be changed in the formula provided. If not, I need further clarification.

The reference to Term is as in number of months in a loan. This is in a cell. This currently works but I need it if the cell is 0.00 to choose another cell with an amount. =IF(D17=H62,H63)

if I add the cell H64 to this it should come back with the amount in this cell instead of the amount in H63 which would be 0.00 but it only returns H63.

Sorry for the confusion. D17 is the term cell and H62 is it's associated cell of the same term, H63 is the "New" Vehicle Residual available in this cell. H64 is the "Used residual available.

I hope this helps.

Maybe?

=IF(AND(D8="new",H63>0),H63,IF(AND(D8="used",G63>0),G63,H64))
