I'm trying to get excel to display the numerical value "000" if an associated cell has the text value of "CLR". An example of my workbook:
Cell F5 has the numerical value "110". Cell F6 has the text value "CLR". What I want to do is this: In column G I want the values entered in column F repeated, except that if the text value in F is "CLR", I want the value in column G to say "000". Thank you!

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
=if(f6="clr",000,f6)
note that you will have to high light the range g and push Ctrl +1 and go to number -> custom and where it says "general" type 000

Thanks, man! That worked perfectly. I don't know why I get hung up on the "IF" fromula, but I'm learning!

Good call. I've run into that problem in my journey to create the ultimate quality assurance workbook. Thanks for sharing that.
