If function with different text answers

Hello,

I am trying to fill in the diagnosis text where I have been given initials.
The M column contains one of 3 sets of initials. CD, UC or CD-F. I want it to fill in, in column I, the full diagnosis from the abbreviations in column M.

This is what I have so far:

=IF(M2="CD","Crohn's Disease", IF("UC","Ulcerative Colitis", IF ("CD-F","Fistulating Crohn's Disease")))

It is returning the correct result where the initials are "CD", but I get a #VALUE error in all other cells.

I expect it is something small that I am missing, but I have tried everything I can think of and it only checks the first logical test, and I can't remember how to next it properly so it checks them all.

Can anyone assist me please?

Try this instead:

=IF(M2="CD","Crohn's Disease",IF(M2="UC","Ulcerative Colitis",IF(M2="CD-F","Fistulating Crohn's Disease","")))


Basically you need to specify the "M2=" part for each IF
