Right I got this formula =SUM(D2:D160)

How do I place a IF into that formula? I need it to add the values in the "D" column if it has a "1" in the same row in the "B" column.

Hopefully my question makes sense

Try this:

=SUMIF(B2:B160,"=1",D2:D160)

SmokeyVol, do you mean 1 is in B or it has a 1 in the string -- ie A123, X145 ?

=SUMIF(B2:B160,1,D2:D160)

based on the first, for the latter:

=SUMIF(B2:B160,"*1*",D2:D160)

Ok =SUMIF(B:B,1,D2:D160) did work but now I have another question...

Should this formula ( =COUNTIF(Stats!D:D,WITHHELD) ) not count the number of times the word WITHHELD is shown or am I missing something?
