Hi All,

I need some help please. (I will get my head round excel one day)

I'm using a vlookup to find a number and then use another vlookup to find another number, and then add them up. So far so good.

My problem is when i get a N/A for a number. How do i get N/A to = zero and then add the number found.

Thanks in advance.

Ben

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

Sorry.

=VLOOKUP("W900999N Total",A12:E295,3,0)+VLOOKUP("W850225N Total",A12:E295,3,0)

If W900999N or W850225N is N/A i just want the number that is found.

Thanks

How about ?

=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP("W900999N Total",A12:E295,3,0)=TRUE),0,VLOOKUP("W900999N Total",A12:E295,3,0)+IF(ISERROR(+VLOOKUP("W850225N Total",A12:E295,3,0)=TRUE),0,VLOOKUP("W850225N Total",A12:E295,3,0)))

Missed off a couple of brackets

=(IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP("W900999N Total",A12:E295,3,0)=TRUE),0,VLOOKUP("W900999N Total",A12:E295,3,0)))+(+IF(ISERROR(+VLOOKUP("W850225N Total",A12:E295,3,0)=TRUE),0,VLOOKUP("W850225N Total",A12:E295,3,0)))

Wouldn't

=SUM(SUMIF($A$12:$A$295,{"W900999N Total","W850225N Total"},$C$12:$C$295))

suffice?
