Hello,

I need help coming up with a formula to put in B1 that will do the follow:

If the amount in A1 is less than 400, I want B1 to equal A1
If the amount in A1 is between 400 and 800, I want B1 to be 400
If the amount in A1 is greater than 800, I want B1 to be A1/2

Thank you so much for you help!

### Excel Facts

Try

=if(A1<400,A1,if(A1>800,A1/2,400))

Thank you so much!

I stumbled upon this formula too. Would this work?

=IF(B3<400,B3,IF(B3<800,800,IF(B3>800,B3/2)))

You're welcome and no that won't work.

Another option:

=IF(A1>800,A1/2,MIN(A1,400))
