I would like to do the following:

If D7 = "Credit"
Then M7 = L7 * -1

I get a "Value" error with
IF(D7 = "Credit",L7 * -1)

I also tried
IF(D7 = "Credit","=L7 * -1")

What is the correct syntax?

Thanks

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
I forgot to say that I'm using 2007. I think the solution to my question will apply to all versions.

Oops. I did not have a space between D7 and =. It worked as soon as I added it. I'm going to take a break.

Thanks for your help.
