Hi,

I have the following formula, but it doesn't seem to work and wondered if anyone can help please?

In column J, I have a text which shows either a TRUE or FALSE. I want to create a new column to show if TRUE then ✓ else if FALSE then X but the formula below outputs an X for all rows, even though I have TRUE outputs.

=IF(J2="TRUE","✓","X")

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Try TRUE instead of "TRUE" or even =IF(J2,

If J2 is a TRUE then you shouldn't need the = TRUE I'd imagine.
