IF Statement to return number as Text

Hi there,

Cell H15 is formatted to text and has the following formula in it;

=IF(F15<>0,426,"")

I have other formulas (INDEX/MATCH/VLOOKUP) which refer to cell H15. If I just type 426 into H15 everything works fine, but if it returns 426 through the IF statement above, it returns errors on my other formulas.

Is there a way to make the IF statement return 426 as TEXT?

Thanks.

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
=IF(F15<>0,"426","")

if you gype 426 into the cell it should go in the. cell as a number
anyway - thats the formula to change to TEXT

Thanks. It's a bit of a catch 22.
If I use "426" in my IF statement and change the format of the cell to general, everything works fine.
However, I want the user to be able to manually type over the IF statement and add, 427 for example. But if the cell is formatted to General and it treats it as a number and then my formulas don't work ?

the formula only has 426 or a blank
are the other formulas using that info only
and if the user types 427 , how will the other formulas use that

if they type 426 it works , if they clear the cell it works
same as the formula would do

maybe its an issue with the other formulas
