If statement using (day(today))

Hi

I’m using the following IF statement to look at the cells in “A”, which is formatted as a whole number. Without any changes to it or the formatting, it doesn’t work sometimes.

What I want is to use a whole number in “A“ (from 1 to 31), not a date and
If the number is less than today’s date, leave “C” blank. If not put in what is in “B”. The formula goes in "C"

HTML:

=IF(A4>=DAY(TODAY()),"",+B4)

I use the range at the beginning of each month to track expenditures. I copy it down to the start of the next month, so I can’t use actual dates. It lets me know how much I need during the month. sometimes the days and/or amounts change.

Due            amount           total

     1           300.21
     4           425.00  
    21          625.12

Your formula returns a "blank" if the day number is greater than or equal to the day number for today, contrary to what the boldened section of your post quote describes. Try this in C:
=IF(A4 < DAY(TODAY()),"",B4)<day(today()),"",b4)< html=""></day(today()),"",b4)<>

yep that works. I don't know why it worked before and then stopped ,but now it's good now
I have to learn the difference between > and <

Oh, I see why it wasn't working sometimes, some how it would change the reference cells that had the day in it. What I do is copy it down to the next month and change the days and amounts if need be. yea, and the greater/than less/than sign was wrong.
It has to be the computer and not me
