I'm trying to search a column for a specific number in a different sheet and its returning all "false" (NO) information every time.

Here's what I'm using, =IF(Sheet8!A:A=BE2,"YES","NO") Both Sheet8 Column A and BE have a 10 digit phone number in the following format 4704540778

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Hi,

Unless the Entire Sheet8! Column A = BE2, you'll always get "NO", try this:

Excel Formula:
=IF(COUNTIF(Sheet8!A:A,BE2),"YES","NO")
