IF strugle

I have entered this formula =IF(B18:F18<>3),"Error","Correct") but error is coming up.I have searched net to find solution but I'm getting nowhere.Across these columns I have results and I have manage that formula to work only on B18 :=IF(B18<>3,"Error","Correct"). I was also thinking is it possible to create formula that will make cell green when "correct",and red when "error"?

no,if it's less or more than 3 I need error, must be 3 for correct result

Your test statement, "B18:F18<>3" looks at 5 cells. Do you want 5 results or do you want a single answer?

If you want a single-cell result:
If one of the cells contains the value 3, and the rest contain 5, do you expect to see "Correct" or "Error"?
