If the number of months between two dates exceeds a certain number of months

Good afternoon,

I'm having trouble with an excel spreadsheet.

I have two dates: one in cell A1 (Dec-06)--the approved date for completion--and one in cell B1 (Jan-08)--the projected date for completion.

I'm looking to turn cell B1 red (whilst retaining the date Jan-08 inside) because it exceeds cell A1 by a period of more than 6 months.

This is proving particularly tricksy and I wondered whether you had any guidance on whether it can be done and how to go about it.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
