if the value is negative it shows as zero

How do I format a cell so that if the value is a negative number it shows as zero.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.

Does the cell have a formula? If so you can change the formula to

=MAX(0, your_formula)

where your_formula is your original formula. This will change the value - if you just want to display as zero, without changing the underlying value you could custom format something like

0;"0";0
