I am writing error handling for some code and I want to write an If... Then Statement, but do not know how to reference the Rows Cell in Column A.

If The Rows Cell in Column A <> = "Tickler "Y"" Then
MsgBox "Please Select the Correct Cell!", vbExclamation, "ERROR!"
Exit Sub
Else
Rest of my code

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
I got this to work

If Cells(ActiveCell.Row, 1).value <>

Now, The Text in the Cell is Tickler "Y" The Y has quotation marks and when you try this statement below I get a

Compile error Expected: Then or GoTo. How can I reference that cell value with the quotation marks around the Y?

If Cells(ActiveCell.Row, 1).value <> "Tickler "Y"" Then

Thanks
