I have posted before on this forum and had some great ideas from you guys
So i have logged on again to see if you can help

i work in a laboratory were we use a spreadsheet to "Cherry Pick" which tests we do.
to our run we add a negative control to ensure sample validity
my my sheet consists of 5 coulmns and 96 rows
Number CEA HAV MEN PHM

in the number column is a unique 7 digit number, and a "NEG" control randomly postioned in the number column
we then add an "x" to each column depending on the tests required

what i want to do is add an "x" to the corresponding (neg row, test column) if there are any "x"'s in that column
and leave it blank if the countof "x" is 0

can you help me
