I know how to do lookups and stuff (basic ones) but what i need is to say example below:

I want to say lookup Julia Abbott (which in this case is in Cell A5) bring back the value in C6, i need to do this for loads but it will always be match a name in one spreadsheet which a name in column A and bring back the value two columns along but one row down. Does this make any sense to anyone out there. Thank you soooooo much

Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
this hasn't come out as i typed it, in column a is the name in column b is something else and in column c is the date
