If today is Monday and the name Amanda appears in column A then change Amanda to John

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with a conditional formatting formula. On my spreadsheet the names of employees appear in column A. I need to change employee names names on days they do not work. For example Amanda does not work on a Monday so I need something which will If today is Monday and the name Amanda appears in column A then change Amanda to John.

Please can someone help me with this please? Is it possible?

Why do I want to change the name Amanda to John? because Amanda does not work on a Monday, John covers Amandas work on a Monday. I need a forumla which was understand that if today is Monday, then change the name Amanda in Column A to John.
