Hello!
I am working on a project whereby I hope to accomplish the following:
This worksheet has a price list of 3,000 parts with prices.
I have completed a table, using VMLOOKUP, that will display prices once a user selects a part number from a drop down list.
Where I am stuck is, this price list is broken down into 5 types of part numbers.
1 - Non Registered
2 - Registered @ Level A
3 - Registered @ Level B
4 - Registered @ Level C
and
5 - Registered @ Level D
The part number for each are easily recognized and look as follows:
1 - Non Registered - Part Number = XXXXXXXX
2 - Registered @ Level A - Part Number = XXXXXXXXA
3 - Registered @ Level B - Part Number = XXXXXXXXB
4 - Registered @ Level C - Part Number = XXXXXXXXC
and
5 - Registered @ Level D - Part Number = XXXXXXXXD
What I've done is split up the price list into 5 ranges and I've set up a dropdown menu so the user can select what type of quote they want to generate (Non-Registered, Registered @ Level A, etc...)
From there I set up a cell that will reflect 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, depending on the type of quote selected.
This is where I'm stuck. The column where users can select a part number provides a drop down menu for the users to choose parts from.
I don't know how to set up this column to determine what range to offer parts from based on the cell that has a 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 in it.
So if there are 5 ranges to select parts from depending on the type of quote, I'd like the drop down list to reflect the appropriate ranges of skus based on the user's quote preference.
Does this make sense?
