IFERROR returns value

My IFERROR formula:
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,'[Look-up Table.xlsx]Sheet2'!$A$2:$G$50,7,FALSE),"")
When I use this, I thought "" should return a cell with nothing in it. However, after I copy/paste values, when I try to CTRL + (down arrow), it doesn't stop on the first blank cell, but goes all the way down as if it does see some value in the blank cells. Is there a way to return an actual empty cell? What am I missing?

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
How are you copy/pasting? Is it manually or with VBA?

Unfortunately, the empty string "" is not the same as an empty cell.
It will not recognize a cell that has "" returned to it as blank.

Solution
Is there any simple way around that? Whether an adjustment to the formula or my copy/paste method?

You could use VBA to do the copy/paste. Would that be ok?

I'm not overly VBA literate at this point and don't have time right now to educate myself. I'll just deal. Thanks for your help!
