IIf([04-05]![CMG]=5001,[tblPayment]![Payment],[04-05]![Payment Rate])

This sorta works, but it just eliminates all the CMGs that equal 5001 instead of replacing it with [Payment] from [tblPayment]????

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Where are you using this?

Is it in an update query?

I'm a bit lost here.

What are you actually trying to do?

Are you trying to update a field?

If you are then you can't use a select query.

If one field has "5001" in it I would like it to pull a payment from a different field. So i have one field of payments [Field1], if Field2 has "5001" I would like [Field1] to be replace by [Field3].
