I have a spreadsheet with info I need to import to another program but it's finicky with how it takes its data. In the first row, the entry needs to be less than 30 characters. The rows afterward repeat this entry and then are followed with more specific data. Is there a formula I can insert in the data validation tool that can count the length of a text string after the colon and then limit it to 30 characters?
