Hi guys. I am a new member and joined to try and get some help with a current problem I am trying to solve.

I am a firefighter who is on call 24/7. We use an application that the crew uses to indicate that they are responding or they are unavailable. All that data is then able to be exported by CSV but I want to filter it down a little more.

I am attempting to import that data from the CSV and have the data separated by month. I will later attempt to filter it more by day but month is what I am aiming for first. How can this be done?

I am unsure if advanced filter options would be suitable or if it would require a marco. I plan once that data is imported to be able to track trends including average callout time, number of crew responded, average callout time ect.

Any help would be great thanks
Brent

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
First of all, it all depends on how the data in the csv is structured. Have you simply tried importing the file and see what it looks like in Excel?

This is what the CSV looks like when imported into Excel. What I would like to happen is have a new worksheet or workbook for each month. So I will check out power query as recommended by SpillerBD
