Import multiple spreadsheet into Access

We have 50+ spreadsheet to import to access monthly. Instead of using Get External Data > Import 50+ times, is there a better way to automate the process ? Also, I discover that if you don't name the data range in Excel, you tend to get a lot of blank records imported. Anyway of solving these problems ?

Try this:

That will let you automate the import process by opening an Open File dialog window to pick a directory and have it import the entire thing. Lots of potential for cleanup depending on what you want to do.

As to named ranges and empty cells. Only two options that I see. Either open the sheets and walk thru each cell and parse them into a table, or import then write queries or VBA to manipulate (clean up) the data removing unwanted records.

The latter, import then clean up via VBA/SQL is probably easiest.
