I have a customer running Excel 2002 via a Citrix environment. The local machine runs Windows XP and Office 2007. We are currently testing the same Excel/Citrix environment in a Windows 7/Office 2010 environment ahead of upgrade. The problem is very specific to .txt files which when opened in the old system, launch the Text Import Wizard however when run within the new Windows 7 environment do not launch the Wizard. Instead the file contents go straight into Excel and are all over the place. I am unsure if this is a Citrix issue or an Excel issue and would be very grateful for any suggestions on how to resolve.
