Hi,

I want to import the following example of data:

"1","1","2001-11-01","Present Bleu","Stratford","1","4-5","WIN","Loss-2nd"

Now when I get to the part 4-5 which is meant to be odds - excel in it sfollery converts this to a date field ie 4th May.

all I want to do is turn this annoyance of and keep my 4-5 intact I have searched everywhere in exel to do this but I cant find it. Any help is appreciated

Thx

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Try highlighting the column in question at step 3 of the text import wizard and nominate the column as text instead of general.
