Importing data from Excel

Hi,

I have many excel sheets I need to import into 4 access tables. The spreadsheets are 135 columns wide, and one row each, (with header row, of course).

Even though I use column headings, some of the actual data cells are empty, and some have either text or numbers. My problem is that I get an error in Access after importing, "Type Conversion Failure" referring to all of my empty cells. Is there a way to format or 'allow' for blank cells to be imported, and supress the Type Conversion Failure error if it only refers to an empty cell?

Thanks for any help!
