Importing Multiple Excel Worksheets into Access

Hello guys, I've googled and searched the forums for the VBA code for doing this. Below is the code that I've found.

I'm really new to Access and badly in need of some adjustments to this code or providing me with a more relevant code.
I hope someone can help me with it. What I want is to import all the worksheets in a multiple workbooks under the same folder into a single Access Table.

Set the Reference to use Microsoft Excel as that's why it states User Defined Not Defined.

The Field Names are the Field Names in your table in the Database !!!!

The offsetting deals with which column number they are.

And then now I got this new error -"Object doesn't support this property or method" for the following line:

For Each ws in ActiveWorkbook

I'm really on basic level in VBA and it's the first time I'm trying to work with Access.

I was thinking if in the above line, we should dim it as a worksheet instead?
However, I still got the same error.

Either create an extra Dim for wksht or try changing to

For Each ws in Worksheets

I use this piece of code a lot at work and it should work for you.

I am using the late bind approach so that there is no need for setting references to excel versions.

A few points to set-up before using this code.

-> Create a table named as 'Table1' with two columns; Age, Name
-> Create a workbook with as many sheets with columns Age and Name
-> Save workbook at c:\dump\book1.xls

c23lemon, your code works in importing the sheets. However, I got a lot of blanks spaces in between data and the ID tag to the data were incorrect.

For example, my first actual data was tagged with a ID of number 133. How do I omit these? In excel, I know the code to delete blanks rows but how do we do it in Access?

What you can do is use a docmd command.

docmd.runsql("DELETE * FROM TABLE WHERE ID IS NULL")

This should delete all the blank rows

Hello all. Currently, when i run this code. What it does is to import all the worksheets in multiple workbooks into different Access tables except for those with the same tab name.


How will I modify the code below to import all the worksheets from worksheet(3) and onwards from the multiple workbooks into the same table?
