I am using this =LEN(TRIM(C5))-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(C5," ",""))+1 but it gives blank column value as 1 instead of blank. Thanks.

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
Another option
Excel Formula:
=IFERROR(ROWS(TEXTSPLIT(C5,," ")),"")
