While viewing the MrExcel tip card, the section for relative and absolute references displays the following formula:
=+B5*(1+$B$2).
If the card is not accessible, $B$2 has a %, 4.1 to be exact. B5 has a price of 1.76. the formula is in cell C5.
My question is why the "+" after the equal sign. If I remove the "+" the result are the same. I have come across this on a few spreadsheet and never could understand the relevance.. Please explain...
