Under week 1 I have team 1 vs. team 7. Below I'm trying to put that into text. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I want the formula to say Bohn & Mills Vs. Ginderske & Maxwell. The text doesn't show up though.

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Are you just seeing the formula in the cell? If so check that the cell is formatted as general & then re-enter the formula.

Solution
golfnut111, Good afternoon.

Hi Master Fluff. (Greetings from Brazil)

gofnut111, if you are triyng generate a TEXT table with the name of players try to use it:

Maybe at Sheet2:

A3 --> =INDEX(Sheet1!$B$3:$B$14;--LEFT(Sheet1!E3;SEARCH("-";Sheet1!E3)-1)) & " Vs. " & INDEX(Sheet1!$B$3:$B$14;--MID(Sheet1!E3;SEARCH("-";Sheet1!E3)+1;2))

You can copy it down and to right as necessary to fill till week 10.

Please, tell us if it is what you want.

I hope it helps.

Thank you so much for your help. That was the problem. I changed the formatting to general and I worked. Thanks again. God bless you!
