Inconsistant Labels on multi layer chart

All,

I have a multi layer line graph with months and weeks on the x axis.

Jan to May work fine with, but from June onwards it stops working correctly, so that on the month level of the axis rather than the lines appearing between the months and the months in the middle between the lines, line start appear between every week and the month in the first week (see picture below)

I don't understand why this is happening as the data for the axis lables is layed out consistently.

Does anyone has any ideas?
