When I hold down control and drag down the cell it increases my (first/whole number) how can I make it increase the last digit instead?

 NOT LIKE THIS LIKE THIS 1.33280 1.33280 2.33280 1.33281 3.33280 1.33282 4.33280 1.33283 5.33280 1.33284 6.33280 1.33285

### Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Assuming your start number is in cell A1 and the cell is formatted as "Text" (so that you keep trailing zeroes). Change the cell format for cell A2 to "General" and put this formula in cell A2...

=1+LEFT(A1,FIND(".",A1)-1)&MID(A1,FIND(".",A1),15)

and copy it down as far as you want. Note that all the formula cells will convert to "Text" format.

Sorry, I misread your question. Ignore the above. Simply format the cell with your first number as TEXT (make sure the trailing zero does not disappear) and then drag that cell down.

I must be doing something wrong I am still getting the whole number to change

 A B 1 1.3328 1.33280 2 2.3328 1.33281 3 3.3328 1.33282 4 4.3328 1.33283 5 5.3328 1.33284 6 6.3328 1.33285

=IF(B2-1.3328=0,B2,1.3328&B2-1.3328)

No, you did not do anything wrong, I did... see Message #3.

when i format it as text it erases my last digit "0" and then I drag and it is still increasing the first/whole number I wish to keep the fifth digit and have it increase by one each time:

when i format it as text it erases my last digit "0"
After you convert the cell to TEXT, put the zero back in and then copy the cell down.

Shettigar without column A how do I make it increase to appear as the column B you have above
