Index and Match Issue

I am trying to grab a date from another sheet if a cell matches anything in another cell on another sheet. I hope the data below explains what I need. The formula would go into Sheet2 and B column.

=INDEX('Sheet1'!B:C,MATCH(A1,'Sheet1'!B:B,0),2)

Sheet1         Sheet2

Sorry, I wasn't specfic. I need to it match columns not specific cells.

Your example shows columns A and B in the respective sheets, but your formula implies columns B and C
Try:

=INDEX('Sheet1'!A:B,MATCH($A1,'Sheet1'!A:A,0),2)

consider using dynamic ranges - more efficient than referring to entire columns
