Hi Everyone

I have a template which is link to an external file using Index and Vlookup. However, as the external file changes its Location or tab name, I also need to also make adjustment in my formula to be able to return the value I am looking for. Since I am looking for a lot of data in different files, updating formula one by one is very time consuming and prone to error.

I am thinking if there's any way I can just put the link of the external file in a cell and the Tab name on another cell and every time I change the Link or tab name, Index formula will also adjust to look for the data based on that data.

Please see attached .jpg file. This is the current formula and set-up I am using. Hoping for your usual kind guidance.

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
